1- Eliminate unnecessary programs from your startup
By cutting the amount of programs which are has to load when it boots up, you can dramatically improve the speed at which you are up and running. Determined which programs your operating system is loading at startup simply by clicking on "Start," "All Programs," and "Startup."Even though you intend to reduce the number of programs which your PC boots at start up, you should always create a System Restore point before doing so. Do this just in case you remove a program without which your PC can't boot successfully. Your PC's System Restore function is found in the Accessories program under System Tools.After creating your restore point, hit "Start," click on "Run," and when you see the box, type msconfig, and click on "OK." At the top of the page that appears, "Startup." Now you can delete whichever programs you don't want your PC loading when it boots. Your computer will cease loading these programs, but you'll still be able to use them whenever you want.Once you've made your selection of programs to delete from the startup process, you'll have to restart your computer before the changes are effective.

Regular cleaning of your Windows registry with good registry cleaning software is essential to locate and remove redundant registry files without harming the ones necessary for your computer's performance.Always create a system restore point (the best registry cleaners will do this automatically) before scanning and cleaning your Windows registry.
